My mother in law suffered from lymphedema - and it is quite a horrible disease - it causes the bottom of your feet to swell - so by the time she died in April - her calf and foot was about the size of her thigh.  Well after saying all that, my husband now appears to be going down the same road as her.  So in his left leg -calf and foot it is swelling up.  He has an appointment to go get it wrapped and then go on compression socks but while we patiently await our appointment - I wanted to get him something to hopefully help him.

I found a compression stocking that looked very good on Amazon.  It is black - the toes are not compressed but everything back from the toes to about 3 inches over the ankle is.  He said that the stocking was soft - and breathable.  My husband works on his feet all day long in a very hot and hard working job  so he put it to a test.  This is the result of the test:

As you can see his body part where the stocking ended is not as swollen as what it is above.  He did wear it the one day but I think at this point he is going to wait to get the appointment and go to the doctor - he was in pain when he came home that day.
